export command allows you to export a new API key or the contents of the JSON Web Token (JWT) you are using to authenticate with the Platform.
The API key is a persistent value that can be used instead of your username and password to sign in to the Platform. It is typically used for authentication in automated processes, such as your Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) build processes.
The JWT token is used to determine the resources you are authorized to access on the ActiveState Platform. It expires after a period of time, but can be renewed. It is required whether you sign in with your username and password or with an API key.
To export a new API key:
state export new-api-key <name>
To print your JWT credentials:
state export jwt
