Repository managers are required for ActiveState Curated Catalog customers because they provide:
- Local caching - Faster installations and fewer network requests
- Rate limit protection - Avoid hitting CloudFront rate limits
- Offline access - Continue working with cached packages during outages
- Better developer experience - Centralized package management across teams
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A supported repository manager installed and running (Sonatype Nexus, JFrog Artifactory, etc.)
- Admin access to your repository manager
- ActiveState credentials provided during onboarding:
- Repository URL (format:
https://repository.activestate.com/<your-org-id>/<package-type>) - Username (your organization UUID)
- Password
